Enjoy my library

I have pursued a full life as an artist, choreographer, performer, leader and risk taker. I honor these many voices within me that wish to express, inspire, and to disrupt. They eloquently reflect the different paths that my life has taken. My career began as a choreographer for 20 years, then founded, grew and led the Dancewave organization. 'Retired’, I am grateful to return to my creative roots as an artist and teacher.My work now centers on teaching elders, listening and amplifying their voices through movement and stories and sharing their emotion-filled memories.After years of visiting my aging mom in a senior living home and watching her slow decline and passing at the end of 2019, I became acutely aware of the unheard voices of those without family or trapped at home.

The workshop concepts grew out of this experience.The goal of both projects —both the culminating movement showing and edited film footage is to offer valuable documentation of a unique workshop experience, amplifying the voices of its participants and sharing my creative process. Each film documents participants’ movement studies interspersed with personal interviews, thoughts about dancing, movement, and life in general.
